FINALLY!!!!! IT IS FINISHED!!!! AHHHHHHHH!!! What was initially meant to be a 6 month long personal project, creating a little artwork starting with a letter of the alphabet, drawing little things from my childhood as a Chinese Asian growing up in Australia in the 90s has FINISHEDDDDD, so happy, I stuck with it. LOL, even after 2 years.

I've reached the letter Y! Zomg! For anyone new seeing this for the first time, I started a personal project... maybe back in 2023? The premise was to complete a little artwork with items beginning with each letter of the Alphabet - featuring things from my childhood growing up as a Chinese Aussie Asian in the 90s.

What was supposed to be a 6 month project has unexpected stretched out to... 2 years?! Ha! Well better late than never! I'm still as addicted to drinking Yakult as an adult, some habits will never die.

I have a confession to make. For the longest time…

I have a confession to make. For the longest time… I was that sticker person.
You know the one. Carefully filing stickers away. Saving them for “the perfect moment.” Convincing myself they were too cute to waste. Too special. Too rare. Too emotionally significant. And somehow, that perfect moment never came.

If you’re a stationery lover, sticker hoarder, or collector of cute things with ✨big feelings✨ attached, I know you get it. Stickers aren’t just stickers. They’re tiny hits of joy. Tiny artworks. Tiny “what if I regret this forever?” decisions.

I used to feel genuine anxiety pulling a sticker off the sheet. Like… what if I stick it crooked? What if I change my mind? What if I run out and can never replace it and this was a TERRIBLE LIFE CHOICE?

But recently, something shifted.

I decided to actually use my stickers. All of them. No saving. No “later.” No shrine drawer. And honestly? It was weirdly freeing. Imperfect. A little chaotic. And way more joyful than letting them sit unused, silently judging me.

I made a full YouTube video about this whole process — the anxiety, the mindset shift, and how I turned years of hoarded stickers into one big, joyful, messy piece of art.
